Orca Whale
I know it is not rocky mountain wildlife. Just got to the San Juan Islands. Looking forward to
capturing some more images.
Thanks for looking.

I think I saw a pair of these swimming up Monument Creek looking for the Moose we used to have here in town a few years ago.

This is a Killer of a shot! No Pun intended. Well ok maybe a little. I miss seeing the migration of these from San Clemente Island off the California Coast.

Dan - nice catpure. Thes kind of captures are more difficult than they look and you did a good job in this capture.

Thanks for the compliments. I am heading out again today. Trying to capture orcas can be quite the challenge.

I have spent a lot of time in the PNW, though not as much as I would like to lately. When I was a kid, I used to see Orcas all the time up in the Gulf Islands. My grandparents used to live on Pender, so I spent many a summer on the beach or a boat. Too bad I didn't have a good camera back then!

I haven't seen an Orca in a long time, but lately the only boat I have been on in the San Juans is the Anacortes ferry going up to Sidney.

Anyway, enough of me reminiscing... Very nice shot with sharp detail. I like the drops of water sharply caught in mid air!
