So when do Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier go off with the wildflowers exactly. And who's all planning trips/camping trips/day trips, whatever to shoot'm. Is carpooling an option for day trips. Campsite reservations...etc....

I haven't shot there yet and want to hit it at just the right time. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

so far the group has planned an anual trip to MRNP in August. We need to nudge Rick and Erik to put it together again this year. I think I'll have to miss it again though :frown: Work will probably get in the way.

I will be camped in Rainier national park at Cougar Rock, White River and in the backcountry from at least August 1 through August 12. This is when I expect peak season to be. As these dates approach, I may post an update and invitation to meet up with members on the PNWNP forum if my time/schedule allows.

I'm in whatever gets organized. Has the bloom ever been this late? The last two summers it was mid to late July. I'm also bummed because I'll have to head back to AZ in early August.

My wife and I will be there the last couple of days of July through August 2nd. We are staying in a motel in Ashford.

Can you say "sleep deprivation"? Up at 4 AM for morning light, and the shoot the evenigh light till 10 PM. Better hope the midday light is harsh so you can nap.

I had posted earlier about the same topic and mostly got replies that the peak for wildflowers in Rainier would be mid august. Am game for camping and also carpooling.

Eric, I average 4 hours of sleep per night during Summer wildflower season....
