Pawnee aerial
Hello,

My wife and I had a chance to fly around the Pawnee Buttes in a small plane last weekend. It was a great experience and so cool to go to the Pawnee and be home at breakfast time. I was shooting through the window - D200, 24-120mm (no VR)400 ISO at F8 and aperture priority, doing my best to shoot steady. The window wasn't pristine, either.

The attached image shows the ruggedness and starkness of the landscape. This must be what it looks like to a raptor.

The pilot was kind to fly low and circle the buttes twice. There's still some green, but it's getting parched out there!
