I have been lurking for a while and thought I would make my first post for critique.
A recent trip to the Farne Islands was prompted by a good weather forecast combined with a day off work at short notice. Whilst not original, I wanted to get some images of Puffin with Sand eels.

Canon 1D2N, 400/5.6L @ f8, 1/800, ISO 200, handheld.
RAW converted with BBP, then CS2.

Cheers Mark.

A classic shot Mark.
Maybe a little tight at the tail, but looks like you've achieved what you set out to do.

Cheers and welcome aboard :toast: :toast: :toast:

Fine shot. You captured the subject in a good pose, avoided getting heavy shadows and your "sunny f16" exposure has worked a treat.

Thanks for the warm welcome and comments.
I agree with the comment about the crop to the rear - I took off a little all round for web presentation but wanted to keep space to the front.
