Howdy everyone!!!

Well, it's already been over three weeks since my wife and I got back from our nine day Southwest Extravaganza Photo Tour. So, I figured it's time to finally post some images!

We had an awesome trip to say the least! 1829 miles total, not sure how much spent on gas! We hit a lot of spots we'd never seen before, which is always fun!

Probably one of the highlights of the trip had to be Lower Antelope Canyon. Now I know it's quite over photographed and we've all seen plenty of images from these spots, but hey, there is a reason for it!! It really was spectacular! And yes, I will go back again some day!

We got into the canyon at about 8:30am, and didn't come back out until about 2pm. The crazy thing is that it took me that entire time to get from one end to the other, and it's only a 1/4 mile!! DOH! So much to see and shoot. Well, I might have stopped to chat with a few folks along the way too.

This image was one of my favs from the day. I'll be posting more later. Enjoy!

Great shot! I love how the circle on the wall/ceiling points down to the half-circle carved below, like the swirl of water just kept going and going for years and years...

I never tire of great shots from Antelope.:toast: Keep them coming.

Did you spend any time in Upper Antelope?
I much prefer Lower for the leisurely pace and relative solitude.

I need to get back there. On my last trip I was still using a P&S. Thought I had some great photos - until I tried to enlarge them with all the shadow noise from the long exposures. UGH! What a disappointment! :frown:

Gorgeous... I actually ran across a b/w slot canyon shot a couple days ago on another site that struck me as stunning in its own way, having been stripped down to just the texture of it. I'm a big fan of the color though. :-)

The circle is great. I think this photo would look great if it were rotated in any direction! It looks like three different shots photoshopped together. Cool.

Bill--- We only got into Lower this time. Will absolutely do Upper someday, but you are right, the Lower one is awesome in that it's really not too crowded, and plenty to see! Next time!
