Magnolia Abstract
Just another shot I took a little time with this afternoon. I have a B&W counterpart, but in this one I think I like the color version better.

Ned,

Your macro lens really gets the detail of these flower shots - I like this overall. I would like to see the B&W too.

Ned, you're killing me. Can you do me a favor and post a so-so image? Seriously, you're on a roll.

This one really captures my interest Ned... The other one just didn't grab me like this does. :toast:

I agree Ned, let's see some sucky images from you and right away please!
My only nit would be to be able to see all of that center thingy...stamen? it sorta looks like a pinaple

Nice one Ned. BTW, I know where you can get some sucky images. Just ask the fellow above me.

Thanks for the comments.. you want sucky, I should shoot it again tomorrow. Within a day or so the petals turned a nice brown hue, and the center curlies turned dark and fell into a big clump within the flower. It still has a nice fragrance, though.. I tried to get more of the pineapple, but the thing just wouldn't bloom any wider - and forcing them open cracked them. The tree blooms are opening even more, so when one is in reach, I will be shooting it on the branch..

This is awesome, Ned. What focal length macro are you using?

I'm using a Canon 100 2.8
