I'm having some trouble calibrating my monitor with eye1. I have been using it for almost a year now but this never happened.
After the contrast adjustment, the brightness is never reached almost upto 100% setting and profile made is all wrong. Colors have a 'neon green' spots in them. What could be the reason?
I do not have adobe gamma installed.

Prashant,

Does the monitor look OK with your old profile? If so, then there are a few possibilities...

1. Your USB cable is not connecting properly.

2. The driver software for the Eye-1 is corrupted.

3. There is a piece of crud on the photometer that is goofing up the light measurement.

4. The unit itself is defective.

You can check to see if there is a device problem. In WinXP...Select My Computer. Right Click and select 'Properties'. Choose the 'Hardware' tab, then Device Manager. Look down the list to USB Serial Bus Controllers. If there is a problem with any USB device, a yellow exclamation point will be there. Click on the + sign to see which device has the problem. You can then troubleshoot further.

Thanks Preston,
I checked all the 4 points. Everything is alright.
The problem is the dark/black area, it has all the neon-gree spots. :frown:
