Hi everyone
I've been watching and learning from this forum for a while now and thought that it was about time I threw my hat into the ring.
This little fella I caught hovering in Bushey Park a month or so ago.
They're great little birds to watch, easy to track down thanks to the call, and thankfully very tolerant of prying lenses! Found that the best approach with them was to just sit myself down and wait for them to come to me - females especially seemed very inquisitive, perching six or seven feet away.
Canon 1d Mark IIN, 100-400 with 1.4 extender Focal length 560mm f10 at 1/320 iso 250 Handheld 75% of full frame.
What a great shot to open your account with! Superb capture.
Welsh Stonechats seem to be a lot less confiding, and won`t even come within reach of a 500mm with a 2x T.C. Where is Bushey Park?

Cheers Jeremy
Bushey Park's in Surrey, just next to Hampton Court. It's a great place for wildlife - shame about all the tourists who insist in creeping into the background of my photo's though!

Nice shot, funny as soon as I saw that I thought I bet it's a 1D Mk11 jobby. Looking forward to more.
