Valley View Taters.....
I shot this back Feb. of this year. After a marathon session of post processing I realized how hungry I was after working on this pic... Thanks for looking.

Okay Jeremy. That's enough. You're forbidden from posting here until we see some crappy photos. :wavey:

Well, for me Jeremy, it ain't workin'. The little pink mask on El Cap is nice but the foreground seems all wrong to me. The rocks on the right seem cut off from the rest of the photo, the snow seems real soggy and the far bank of the river isn't very appealing. The sky is not bad but I see you've worked it somehow from the top of El Cap and over to the left.
You certainly have enough excellent photos that I don't think you have to push this one too far before dumping it.
Sorry.

Technically the image may be lacking a bit with the surronding scene, but the pink mask on El Cap was good for me. Regardless of rest of the scene. Call it a record shot. I grew up in Merced and practically grew up in the park, and had never seen the light hit El Cap that way, I thought it was cool.

Jeremy,
I disagree with Mark here. The image has a lot of merit and thank you for sharing it. I enjoy the special light on El cap and you worked with what was there.

I think it is very nice - looks like you desaturated the rest of the El Capitan so it's really amazing that the sky did this - I wish that the clouds or some other mountain echoed this glow - that is what makes it more of a ??? shot in a way... like "did the sun really only hit that sliver of El Cap?"...... but it's beautiful.

Youre right it did hit the top of Sential Rock but the vantage to see it was taken by about 40 photogs, so I had to go down by the river. Had I gotton that shot it really would have been pulled it more together. Thank for all the honest feedback.

Jeremy,
I have mixed emotions about this one. I can't get by the light on El Cap. It doesn't seem natural to me. Especialy the sharp defined boarder at the bottom of the pink. The snow on the foreground rocks is a nice touch. IMHO !
