House Sparrow + RSP
20D, 300/4 + 1.4, ISO200, 1/50 @ f8, Gitzo 500 + BH1, RSP + CS2

Hi,

Just a simple House Sparrow, some of you may have noticed that I have been listing Rawshooter Premium in the techs recently, reason for this is that I bought it sometime ago but was dissappointed that some of the problems with RSE I had experienced hadn't been fixed so it just sat there on the HD.

Recently I moved my copy of C1pro to another computer as we use it here with our Phase One backs and we needed to try a new setup, so thought I would give RSP another look, downloaded and installed the latest release and all I can say is that I was very pleased indeed, the problems I had with the first version had all but disappeared.

I always liked the way that Rawshooter worked and looked and although it will take a hardened C1 user like me to adapt I think that RSP will become my converter of choice.

If you want a more detailed review I will happily do one.

All the best for now and have a good weekend.

Very nice portrait Phil-not sure about the seed in the beak though and maybe clone the twig in bottom RH corner,Very detailed just look at the foot and well presented,I would be interested in a review on RSP,It would be nice to have a full break down from opening the image to the finished article to see how others work :toast:

Hi Dave,

Agree with all you say  , this is just one of the images I was using for comparison, so nothing done to the image apart from slight levels tweak and resize and sharpen for web, RSP certainly appears to extract good detail... will prepare a full review and post it next week.

All the best

Phil

Nice one Phil, great sharpness. My only little nit is the twig as stated by the honourable Dave Courtenay!

A lovely image as always Phil. I'd also be very interested in hearing your thoughts on RSP as I'm currently using the essentials version and thinking about upgrading.

I'm pretty well entrenched in C1 and have tried all others except RSP.
I'd be very interested to hear what you've got to say about it and also what issues you had with the original that have now been resolved.
I have one or two serious concerns with C1 but on the whole it does what I ask it to do and it does it well even on large (500+) batches.

John
