Another image from Hungary trip. I have been on many trips but this was one of the best and i have booked for a longer trip next year.It was quite exhausting: getting up 03.15, in the hide by 06.00, back in the hotel by 19.00! I think that it is one of the best countries in Europe to photography the more difficult passerines like Black cap, Hawfinch and the nightingale.

I replied to this earlier then it dissapeared,A bird normally heard rather than seen or seen in the back of a bush so this is amazing,Nice pose and great bg colour-did you manage a portrait mode reflection shot?

It did disappaear Dave cause i noticed that it had only 500 pixels on the longest site!

Excellent image, although I think the tail is a little to close to the edge of frame personally. Did you get it with a full reflection, that would have been ace!
Hello Renee
That was certainly some trip!
This image is particularly nice for its simplicity, it is also a bird seldom seen, let alone photographed.
Best wishes
Phil
Wow it's not often you see these out in the open - beautiful image. Agree with Nigel perhaps the tail a little close to the edge but that is a very minor nit!

I have them with and without reflections. This is such a superb place!

Very nice indeed Rene. Bit tight at the tail end for me as well, but very minor. I've only ever heard these so I appreciate how good this shot is......
Agree with the rest Rene, absolutley superb,I have only heard one but never seen, very smart looking bird

Excellent. Good clean b/ground and I would love to see one with the reflection. Tail is close but it would be easy to add a bit in with it being such a uniform colour. Would like to see a bigger version, this appears to be breaking up around the face. Well done. You've stolen my thunder as my next post was going to be nightingale
