White Little Owlet
Received a call out today to a Little Owl on the floor of a big vehicle hanger located at an Army Vehicle Base in Gloucestershire.

Having concerns about the young Little Owl & the building being locked over the weekend etc, it was decided to bring the Owlet in to be cared for.

If you look at the Owl & compare it with what it should like you will see the difference.

The Owlet now is with the orphaned Little owls we have on cam, here you can see how it is getting on.

This image was taken by Kev Lewis on our behalf so it can be documented. I have decided to upload it here so people can see the huge difference.

Comments & views on the discovery much appreciated.

Not only a different colour but a different shape as well-How many owls do you get in orphaned?Must be very rewarding to see them grow :toast:

This year we have only had a few in. 6 Little Owls which can be viewed on cam http://www.barnowl.co.uk/webcam & 3 Tawny Owlets to who are without cams.

All youngsters are to be returned to the wild when old enough but the White Little Owl we are not sure of because of its indifference.

Hi Vince,

Great to see such contrast, if you do keep it at the centre i think it would be very interesting to see the resulting adult bird
