Where abouts around Calhan are these Paint Mines, I think I may head out that way on Sunday morn. Thanks for the help................J

Paint Mines Interpretive Park (it's part of the El Paso County park system)is located off of N. Calhan Highway (81) just southeast of the town of Calhan. You can either go east on 24 out of Colorado Springs and then south on 81 for about 1/2 mile to Paint Mine Road or take 86 east out of Castle Rock and catch 77 south after about 20 miles then jog over to 81 and continue south.
