Here is something from the day I arrived at Yosemite. In May 2005 I spotted that Bridalveil Fall creates a rainbow at the base of the ffall and slowly creeps upwards as the sun moves.
I did not get the exact shot I wanted last year so I tried again. This time I arrived before the rainbow occured so I had time to set things up.
Zoomed in to the base of the fall where the water was crashing on the rocks behind the treeline. Then the rainbow became visible in the mist.
For all of you that do not know what ROY G BIV is? It is a abbreviation of all the colors of a rainbow from a science class experiment when you pass white light through a prism.

A most amazing image, Eric! The rainbow of colors really brings out the power of falling water.
