Pictures taken in RAW recently by both cameras were down loaded on to an EPSON 2000 (Epson has the latest updates). Lexar X80 CF card used on the EOS 20D and Sandisc CF Extreme III used on the EOS 5D. The file numbering prefix on both cameras on the shoot all starts as _MG_1234. Pictures taken have always been IMG 1234 on both cameras.
Viewing the pictures on CS Bridge, cannot see anything wrong so far, but it is strange that both cameras have done this simultaniously! Any comments/help!

The 30D manual states on page 63:

"If the image is captured with the color space set to Adobe RGB, the file name will start with "_MG_" (first character is an underscore)."

So i'd guess you changed color settings recently.

Same experience with me. That's what happened to my image file names when I switched color space from sRGB to Adobe RGB.
