Red Cliffs of Zion
One of my shots from my trip to Zion this last January.

Ths sky has a lot going on, doesn't it? The detail in the ridgeline is awesome. I also like the striations in the cliffs.

I wish there were a little more room at the bottom, and it might have more dramatic impact if you cropped just a tad off right (perhaps just to the right of the last peak).

I wonder how it'd look if the cliffs were a hair brighter. One thing that's interesting about this is the density of the bushes, but they seem pretty dark in thi shot.

You sure have been getting around in the last year, Rick! I love the ridgeline and the complexity of the cloudy skies. It may just be that the ambient light at the crt I'm viewing this on is making it so, but the cliff faces seem like they could be made a bit brighter so I can see more of the details that Sean is talking about.

Compared to the sky, the rock face seems not as full of life. I also see a masking halo around the top of the cliffs especially on the RH side. I'd consider brightening the cliff face a bit also.

Nice sky, nice ridge line, bummer light.

Rick, I agree with what Mark said.

Rick,
Cool shot but I don't think it's one for printing. Unless of course you process it alot more.

Personally i would like to see the hills lightened and the whole scene more saturated....just my opinion though

I like the almost swirling, vortex type formation over the cliffs. Excellent details throughout!
