Another one from my session with the Stonechats - the female this time. She was very inquisitive - approaching ever closer until she was less than eight feet away. Now why can't all birds be like that!

Canon 1D Mk IIN, 100-400 lens with 1.4 extender,560mm, iso 320, f10, 1/640 75% of full frame

Lovely image, not too sure about the somewhat light spot behind the bird!

Hi Simon

An excellent image, great pose and nicely framed. Looks good and sharp too considering the use of the 1.4x TC with the zoom. Good background colours too.

A great image, might lose just a shade from the left, but that is minor and prob personal preference, as David said they don't come much better.
