Looks like Adobe is going to put RawShooter Raw processing into their products.

Hmm, I wonder if that means we'll get the benefits of RSE's technology (the relevant parts of it) when we download an update of ACR in the future? ...or if Adobe is thinking of creating a higher end and extra fee raw development offering?

They are talking about putting it into Adobe Lightroom, which is MAC only so far.

Interesting, but irrelevant for myself at this time. If the technology is that good I could see them eventually utilizing parts of it on the Windows side. However, it sounds like marketing/sales will be the ones driving those kinds of decisions...

I'm actually a bit bummed about this. RAW Shooter has a SWEET interface and powerful features in a VERY tight/compact/FAST application. My fear is Adobe Lightroom will not be any of the above...sigh.

RAW Shooter Premium 2006 has been my primary RAW converter for quite some time....

Rick's right. Take it from someone who's worked for the two big utility/AV companies. Big company buys little company, merges the tight/compat/fast utility into thier other products to produce bloatware. It'll probably still be a great product, but it's going to become part of a big lumbering gorilla. :frown:
