Garth has a terrific photo-essay in the August issue of Birder's World on Bicknell's Thrush. Makes me even more eager than I was before to see, hear, and photograph that bird. From Avian we all know what a good photographer Garth is, and it turns out he has a little John Muir or Thoreau in him too, fine nature writing.
OK, , ulterior motive, I have a photo in the Gallery section of the same issue.
What a great story! I didn't realize how much of a destination the Presidential Range is to birders in the spring until I stumbled upon a large group this year just to see/hear and image these birds. Sounds like you had a good time doing the same!
