I am finally getting close to having filed all of the images from my trip, just need to clear up some of my notes and I will start writing the tavlelogue.
A little about the image:
This photo was taken my last day on the Antarctic continent. I had spent most of the morning watching many Gentoo chicks and I spotted the chick "chillin'" on the chunk of ice and worked my way up to it and then his friend came up to tell him he looked much to relaxed. I also like the sense of place in the photo as it looks like a beautiful place to "grow up".

Here's another from my trip. This one I converted into a puzzle for my mother who loves jigsaw puzzles. For some reason she hates me now . . .
This was from one of the most amazing place I have ever seen. Thsi si from Salisbury Plain, Bay of Isles, South Georgia. This site hosts about 35,000 nesting pairs of King Penguins. Most of the individual in this photo are either sitting on an egg or chick.
The first photo seems to have low contrast in the foreground, but the composition is very nice. The second photo is amazing! I can only imagine the noise created by those guys. Thanks for posting.
Are you sure about that? That second shot looks like Aspen during ski season.

Great shots Scott. They seem to be a little lacking in contrast on my monitor too. But with a slight PS tweek they will look awesome. The second is too cool.
BTW, where to you get your images converted into puzzles?

That's not very crowded. If you were in Summit County you would not be able to see the ground. Also, that's alot of Penguins for South Georgia. I've been to Atlanta many times and I've never seen any Penguins walking around. I guess no one notices them because the confederates are still busy fighting the civil war down there
Holy Ice Burg Batman the Penguin has cloned himself! I agree with the first shot lacking any real contrast yet it is still awesome! The second does look cool too! The whole idea though gives me a real smart ars idea for local scenes and Penguins!
Also gives me an idea that we need a Mascot too! Some Animal that would be in all of the RMNP States other than Todd! Hmmm

I got the puzzle made at Positively Puzzled, which is a small home operated business. I think their website is: Positively Puzzled
My mother has told me that many of the peices that do not belong together will fit. For a puzzle like photo #2 that is a real issue. They were easy to deal with and were relatively quick turnaround time.

Scott - you do know that Atlanta is central Georgia! And there are large numbers of black and white birds in more south of there!
A friend from my trip sent me a photo of me taking the first photo and was interested in seeing what I came up with. I just did a quick raw conversion so she could see it, maybe I should pay more attention and process it some more. I really never noticed the tilted horizon until today, but maybe a humorous photo does not need to be level!
Maybe, I'll play with it in PS tonight when I get home. Thanks for the feedback.

Heck, with all of the urban sprawl, Atlanta might as well be in Southern GA. Yes, I know where Atlanta is. The attempted humor was on the double meaning of South Georgia. I guess humor/sarcasm without tone and emphasis doesn't work on forums. Which black and white birds are you referring to and where? By the way, sweet pictures!

Scott - I guess my humorous response was missed. There are a number of large colonies of terns in southern Georgia, well atleast, I remember seeing a large colony on a long reaod trip about 20 years ago. They are not as formally "dressed" as the pictured guys.

Sweet shots! Yet another place I need to visit.
Looks like the top one might need to be rotated CW a little.
