The birds by the seastack were a bonus to this shot. I wasn't aware of them until I uploaded the photo.

Did you stay on it till the very moment when the last of the sun dips below the horizon? You can actually capture the green flash that used to be regarded as mariners' folklore, I've seen it done.....

We did watch for the green flash. Just with our eyes though.

I have one word for you.... WOW!!!!

I guess I'm not familiar with the "green flash" never heard of it... but then again, I sometimes don't pay attention :jump:

This is really cool. The birds really add nice element to the comp. If I had a small nit, it would be the jagged edge of the sun. I realize it probably wasn't possible to get a smooth edge with this shot.
