I currently have a few projects on the go but am running way behind with the image processing due to the new baby.
One of my current projects is documenting the Natural History of a 70 foot or so stretch of ancient hedgerow at the bottom of my garden, I know that the hedge is old as it appears on old field maps and using the Hooper rule have counted 6 species of native woody plants along its length. So it musts be at least 5-600 years old.
I took this picture on a sunny day and used fill flash to lift the shadows, I always find it quite difficult to retain detail in the whites especially with fill flash
Canon EOS 1D2 + 180mm Macro, f8, 1/30 sec (ev -2/3) ISO 100, fill flash set at -1.2/3sec
Im no flower photographer but i think its a nice image, although my eye is drawn to the o.o.f light patch on the left hand side of the hawthorn blossom..maybe you could clone it out?

I find the whites are lacking a little detail - best done on a overcast day!
