I'm starting to think about another lens (ugh), like the 100 mm macro. Until then, I have to crop down from the 17-40 L, my alltime favorite lens. Here's one I thought is worth showing. It's my new rose plant, and it smells just great, too! With a small shower to add interest.

Pretty darn nice with the subject matter and the sharpness. Maybe a different crop would have worked better. (possibly more room at the top and left ?) IMHO
Thanks for the suggestions! I might recrop it, there wasn't much wiggle room with this - but this is an extreme crop. And I kinda like the softness of it, but I'll fiddle with the contrast.
