Longs Peak webcam this evening
A web cam after my own heart! I snagged this image off the web this evening, thought it was worth sharing.

Check out the time stamp on that first one, and then see how it looked just a few minutes later. Can you say "dynamic weather pattern"? Finally, RAIN. It's been raining steadily down here in Pwaylo, to the point where there are small stream flood advisories. Geez, I'll take the minor flooding to put us back on a normal weather regimen.

Wow, that was a big change! Glad I wasn't up there at the time!

Yep - we were up on Shrine Pass all day yesterday and then went over to Piney Lake for sunset. The weather was crazy (in a good way!). It rained and rained and rained.... Then over at Piney, one second it would be relatively calm and then all of a sudden - in a matter of 2 or 3 minutes - bands of fog and large low clouds would rise up from Upper Piney and roll towards Piney Lake; then, just as fast - poof, it was all gone, evaporated. Then it would repeat itself 10 minutes later. I think the temperature was right at the dew point and small changes were having a big effect. There was no sunset color unfortunately, but watching the weather was almost as much fun.
