Hi Phillip,

Nice shot of the Redshank, I like the comp and colours. At first I was'nt sure about the OOF white bits in the BG, but the more I look at it the less they distract IMO. Looking at the breast plumage, it look's slighty crunchy so you may have just overdone the USM.

Regards

Rob

As Rene said a classic shot, would have liked a glint in the eye but thats my only nit :toast:

nice photo, Phillip, - very interesting too see the conditions on his back-feathers (lots of wear and tear) :toast:

The positioning of the bird is excellent. Lovely detail in the feathers.

Hi all thanks for commenting, I did one or two in the landscape format and they do have catch lights, I will post it in this comment I haven't noticed that the feather plumage was slightly worn away obviously it's had quite a time over the summer months, I have tried cloning the lighter areas out but I think I prefer it with them in.

Phillip.

Ps this is full frame.

Hi Phillip

The full frame looks good as well and the highlight in the eye has really lifted the image!

Hi Philip,

A most attractive shot.I feel both versions work well but if I had to pick a favourite it would be the first one.
