I've tried calling the Mt.Adams ranger station to find out about the wildflowers but no one seems to pick up the phone. Has anyone explored the area ? I'd like to go around and find out the wildflower scenario tomorrow - If anyone is planning to do the same we could possibly get together.
Pradeep, last year at this time Bird Creek Meadows was really nice. I may try to get up there after work but I'm sort of booked for the next two weeks.
Update : Bird Creek meadows is closed. Lot of snow up there and the roads are not yet in drivable condition ( even with 4 wheel drives ).They might open the meadows by July 15th. Wildflowers are expected sometime in the third week of July or 1st week of august.I did hike up the sleeping beauty trail and its worth every effort.
Finally my digital rebel xt and the lens fell into water at a lake near the ranger station and now I gotta find a dealer to fix it before the wildflower season.
I forgot to take the bug spray and there were a ton of nats and mosqutoes biting all over but I guess after an hour of getting biten I got used to the situation.
I was surprised at how less crowded Mt.Adams area is - even in the peak holiday season there were hardly 2 -3 people on the trails. Am definitely going back for another sunrise shoot after my camera gets repaired.
