Backlit Red Deer
Taken at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire early one summers morning.

Eastnor  .I used to go carp fishing there when i was younger, in the lake right next to the castle(awesome looking place, but abit creepy at night).

As said the rays make the shot look good

Hi Larry,

A fine atmospheric image. Love the rays of light and how the small areas of folliage in the upper corners combined with the darker foreground help frame the deer.

Beautiful - so very atmospheric with the lighting effects and the pose is just fantastic - this is the kind of image I love, really seems 'timeless'.

Beautiful! It's all been said above, except... I find the dark band of shadow at the bottom a bit 'heavy', but that's not a major nit for me.

Good stuff.

Hi Larry

A lovely backlit image, the sun's rays are excellent. The black area at the bottom of the frame is a bit distracting to me, and I would like just a bit more light and detail in the deer, but otherwise this is a very well seen and taken photograph. A great alert pose by the deer.

cheers
