Libellua depressa on dock flower
Nikon D2X, Nikkor 300mm f/4 AF-S

Male BBC on dock flower. Not too happy with the colours in the jpeg even though I changed it to SRGB prior to uploading.

A fine shot with that attractive perch adding to the images overall appeal. :toast:

Very nice John my only suggestion would be to clone out the flower head at the far bottom right and the little bit at the top where the flower head makes a brief re-appearance (if you see what I mean).

Agree with Barries crop and clone suggestion, wonderful bg, just wonder if the contrast isn't just a tad high for web presentation as the darker areas seem to be 'blocking' up...

Very nice.

Hi John

Very nice image - colours look good to me and a great BG!

Hi John

An excellent shot with good sharpness and detail in the wings. I am not sure about all the space on the left hand side, I might be tempted to crop some of this off if I was printing it and go for a more square format.

Black areas on the insect are quite dark and lacking detail, not sure if you could pull some detail back from the original RAW file, might be worth a try.

cheers

Hello John

Get some work done and stop going out with your camera. Great shot of dragonfly that I haven't photographed yet.
