Trillium Tonight
I looked at the clouds above hood from my house at about 7, and grabbed my pack and tripod and drove up to Trillium Lake. I've been there about a dozen times in the last 16 months, and this was by far the best cloud show I've seen on the mountain when I was up there to witness it in person.
While shooting this, I kept hearing "damn...wish I had my camera" from passers by. Of course I offered them my business card in between clicks.
I shot 2 gigs in 45 minutes, bracketing every option I had practically. This is just a quick 10 minute blend...I have more with full on relection when the wind died down at the right time (it was dern right breazy at times).

Thats insane Rick... Thats just awesome, I personanly think it might have been cooler if the mountain would have had some more color to it, but the whole image just works wonderfully, I'm reminded of an Ansel Adams shot of yosemite as a storm is clearing, very similar feeling and mood to me...

I guess I can't really come up with any "nit's" but then again Im not the best critique of anyone  especially when I plain old just like the image

Wow. Awesome. Can't wait to see the reflection shots!

The sky is really impressive. The composition works well and emphasizes it. My only critique is just a little halo around the peak from blending. Very nice shot!

Rick: Great shot. You are lucky being so close to these shots that you can just grab a pack and run.

Rick,
I hope you got one with the reflection of the clouds. Pretty cool!

I'll wait to see the final version, the cloud is great but the mountain is a bit flat.

Really sharp image Rick. 2Gig in 45 minutes is a darn busy 45 minutes. But I can see why.

Best regards,
-Brett

Wow, that sky is incredible Rick. I think it has more potential once you work it further, but a wonderful image. Grats.
