Sunset at Mt.Adams
This was the last shot before my camera fell into the water. The lake is not deep at all, may be 2-5 ft of water. There is no name to this lake and its about 1/4 a mile from the ranger station. Not a place for shooting reflections but this was the best place I could find in the vicinity. As always comments and suggestions welcome:

Technicals : Rebel XT EF 20-35 mm at 20 mm F11 at 1/13 sec 2 stop soft grad filter.

Only suggestion I have, is next time don't drop the camera in the water, that tends to mess things up

Ok, Ok, bad joke, I guess you always have a photo to remind you of what got the camera wet....

It does seem a little dark to me... but in looking at it I'm not sure what could be done about that...if anything.

Seems like a great composition to me, the included reeds, etc add some nice depth, I wish the logs in the mid foreground were more visible, but thats a limitation of where the light was falling.

Nice capture, perhaps an 8x10 or larger print with ceremonial burning is in order to commemerate the camera? :jump:

Pradeep,
It's a nice and calming image. I would like to see the foreground trees a little lighter which isn't easy to do with this type of shot unless you bracketed. The sky is a little even in the blues.

I tried to get the foreground trees a bit lighter but even inspite of the grad the mountain got washed out :frown: . On close observation there was a difference of 3 stops b/w the mountain and the foreground - no wonder the 2 stop grad didn't do the job.

I second what my bro said. This is why it is difficult to shoot in late morning or mid day.

Rick does it indeed look like late morning or mid day  I should give up taking pictures
