The most common bird in Svalbard is the Little Auk (several millions). They are quite approachable, as they like other alcids arent't wary about people.
Here is a couple from one of the colonies.

Hello Helge
As I am posting some of my own pictures of this family I thought I would be the first to comment, I have covered the four species found in Britian and I would love to get the chance to go to Svalbard to have a go at these. Lovely shot and I love the setting it looks volcanic. I would like to pick your brain for info on Svalbard would that be O.K.
Thanks, Danny - then I guess the last European member of the family (Brunnich's Guillemot) will be my next post!
You are very welcome to send me an email with your questions about Svalbard. I can outright say that it is the cheapest and most accessible way of experiencing the higharctic.
Nice shot, good eye contact, cute image. Can't think of an obvious comment on how to improve it, you made the most of it I feel. Maybe a portrait orientated of the front bird would work well (stick the 1.4x TC on for that one...)

Only ever seen these as passing dots whilst 'sea watching' on the east coast - lovely image, wish I had been there!

Very neat interaction going on three way, keeps your eyes in the pic. Never seen these before, as said cute birds.
