We had the brightest rainbow I have seen yesterday in front of our house. And right as I was turning my camera on a bolt of lightning shot down the middle of it!!! I just missed shooting the bolt - talk about a photo op. But I got a couple shots of the rainbow. Here is a little better view of it:
I only wish I was photographing it somewhere in the mountains. I will be vacationing in Crested Butte in about a week. I have seen shots like that here on this forum. It just adds another layer of beauty to a nice landscape scene.
Has anyone else caught a good rainbow lately after all this rain?

I've missed a couple great ones this last week. At least I got to see them though!
Cool shots Derek! I know what you mean, every time I see one like that, my foreground always seems to be buildings! DOH! But they are just plain cool to see no matter what the circumstances!!
