Lodging in the Redwoods and Oregon?

I am in the process of planning out my trip to Northern CA and Southern Oregon. Most likely I will not be camping on this trip and am looking for recommendations on inexpensive lodging that you might recommend. My trip will take me through the redwoods (anybody stay here --> hostel in the Redwoods ? Crater Lake? Klamath Falls? Southern Oregon in general. My plans are really loose right now if anyone wants to join me around Aug 10th shoot me an email.

You should try to head for Rainier National park. That is about when the wildflowers go crazy at one of the most beautiful national parks in the US...... sorry I don't have suggestions for lodging, but I'd suggest heading a bit more North :smile:

wildflowers in august... my goodness, the show in texas is pretty much done by mid-april! richie, i may be getting up there sooner than i expected... i'll let you know. this reminds me, i owe you an email about italy... i'll get that to you in a sec.
