Singing Sedge
....Warbler.

Don't know about this one. Although a nice pose, I can't help feel that the foliage is too distracting and too much of the Warbler is hidden.

Appreciate your opinions.

Graeme

Hello Graeme
It is a bit of a shame about the tail being hidden by the foliage, but the head is the important area in this image, and my eye was drawn straight to it. I think the pink showing inside the mouth just makes it excellent.
Best wishes

Would have been nice to see the whole bird, but still a very nice image!

Hi Graeme

Yep, would be better without the foreground leaves but otherwise this is still a quality image. :toast:

cheers

I've seen a lot worse in a lot of birding magazines.
Foreground leaves don't bother me here at all, as all the attention is focused on the wide beak :toast: :toast:

Hello Graham

I am with John and I have seen worst pictures published in birding mags some of them mine, nice shot in great light, agree with about seeing the whole bird but I like out of focus stuff in front as it leads your eye more to the subject.

Hi Graeme,
I don't find the small amout of obstructing folliage a major issue.
Love the wide open beak.
Definately a keeper,IMHO.
