I was thinking of going down to Yankee Boy next weekend (around the 21th).
Have they had any rain this year for flowers?
Anyone do any scotting yet? Any predictions?

I predict it will be overrun by Texans in rented Jeeps. And despite my red hair, I won't be doing any scotting down there. I'm Dutch. So if I ask you out for dinner, be prepared to pay your own way.

Todd, I also have a strong Dutch heritage. We'll have to get some olie bolen, banket, and a beer sometime. My father also a tendency to joke about Texans during ski season (ever since he got knocked over in a lift line by a guy wearing wranglers, crossed skiis and a cowboy hat). I thought that we were in the off-season for Texan blaming, but I could be wrong.

Hey, I love Texans. They pay lots of my mortgage payment. I was just sayin'...
I was there yesterday. The peak bloom appears to have occurred a week ago, but there are still good patches left. Sat through a 45 minute deluge of rain, hail, sleet, and lightning bolts. The peaks had a sparse white coat of hail pellets afterwards. Compared to prior years, this was a substandard performance.
