This will be my last puffin shot I promise, its only a portrait and to be honest it is difficult to come up with something new with puffins as there are so many good images of them. I liked the way all the out of focus grass leads your eye straight to the colourful beak and of course all those poor fish. Like I said in my previous posts it was such fun and I would highly recommend the treshnish Islands.
Canon EOS 1D MkII, 500mm Lens, F5.6, 1/250, ISO Rating 200
Thanks to everyone that commented on my last posts.
Good use of the out of focus foreground to frame the bird.
Minor comment would be be maybe using F8 would help to get the sandeels in the beak pin sharp, but not really a big concern.
Is camping on the Treshnish islands easy or do you need special permission from the wardens/owners? Definitely seems a more enjoyable location than the Farne Islands.

A classic Puffin shot done to perfection.
Good use of the out of focus foreground to frame the bird.

As puffin portraits go,I'm sure they don't come much better than this.
An excellent shot in every way.
