Apparently a mother daughter hiking pair were murdered this past Tues. while hiking near Mount Pilchuck. I didn't see a post about it on this forum so I figure I would inform those of you who may not know about it. It's a shame that people are more often than not the predator one has to keep their eye's on.

Be careful out there everyone... I don't want to sound like the paranoid in the group, but please be careful, and watchful, be prepared for the unexpected, be mindful of your surroundings... there has been very interesting evidence showing that us humans do have a "sixth" sense when it comes to danger, and that we often sense danger, yet ignore the signs... so if something doesn't "feel" right, take that as a sign from your sixth sense... I have not personally ever been in any bad situations, but I've felt that I may be very close before... so just be careful, watchful, and pay attention to those "gut" feelings... remember anything you have can be used as a weapon, tripod, flash, keys, etc... throwing and object at a would be attacker is a wonderful escape stratagy... cameras can be replaced, you can't
