Taken on Thursday eve as the sun went down, I really was enthused by the way the actual trees were in shadow and light, and then the shadows of the tips of the trees behind me, casted on the distant bank.
This is probably too saturated, plus I'm not 100 percent fond of that little cloud smack dab in the middle of the mountain...but still, I think this image has at least some appeal?
It's also nice to go out shooting with a fellow fotog buddy and come back with images that aren't mirror images of eachother. To me, that's part of the challenge.
I dunno if I'd say "too saturated" looks to me just like if it were say shot on Velvia, or another saturated slide film... perhaps a tad more so, but I'm guessing fairly similar to a saturated slide film... I agree about the cloud on the mountain. It's just kind of wacky do... it almost looks like some sort of smudge on the photo or something... if it would have been off a bit perhaps wouldn't be so strange, but it to me looks almost like something on the lens or something... just goofy....
Overall very wonderful though, I'd be more than pleased to get something 1/2 as good

Yeah, that cloud looks like a smudge or something. I knew for sure it was a cloud when I saw it in the reflection. Looks weird.
Rick,
Nice reflection and comp. Just can't get by the cloud in front of the mountain. Bummer it was there when you shot this.

Everything is beautiful but a big bummer on that dang cloud. Didn't it go away? So how was this wilderness? I've hear great things about the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness and hope to go someday soon.
