Orton imagery can transform a photograph into a softly glowing scene reminiscent of an oil painting. This is not a technique that I have tried yet with any of my images. In Bill Darks resent image of Rattlesnakes and Feathers, I noticed that Bill had used the technique on the image, and I liked the softness of the colors. So I thought I would challenge myself and extend the same challenge to the other members of the forum.
Beginning today 7/14 thru 7/30 post your Ortonized images with Orton Challenge in the subject line. For those who are not familiar or need a refreasher with the Orton process here is the Article written by Darwin Wiggett several months ago.
I think everyone is feeling the heat right now, me included, so lets just have a little bit of fun!
There have been some really nice images using the Orton technique posted this last week, thanks to everyone that has particapated.
There is still a week left to the challenge, if you have not posted an Orton image you still have time. If you have already posted an image feel free to post a second, would like tio see what else we can come up with using this technique.
