I drove up to Mayflower Gulch on Friday afternoon hoping for a nice sunset – and I got it!
The clouds created a solid overcast except for the western horizon where the cover abruptly stopped. After waiting out a couple of downpours, the sun finally dipped below the clouds and lit up the range.
The flowers are looking nice up there. It does not look like are at peak, yet. There is still a lot of paintbrush waiting to pop.
Tech stuff: 75mm Lens, Proiva 100F, no filter.

That's gorgeous! Love all the wildflowers in the foreground. Nice job!
Jody - actually its just an aversion to buing a $300+ center filter.
Chris - mosquitos really did not bother me. I guess the wind and rain kept them at bay.
