I just recieved word that my job will be located in Grand Junction about a year and a half from now. While that isn't exactly a bad thing (I'll be closer to the San Juans and West Elks - my favorites), It'll be tough to duplicate the location of my home with views like this one.
These 2 are on the hillside opposite my house. They're watching my kids and dog.

I've learned over the years after shipping my way around the world every 2 - 3 years, that change can always be a good thing!

I know you love where you are, but it sounds like a no-lose situation. I will expect to see lots of shots from Colo. Natl. Monument with the valleys filled with fog and the rock formations poking through. Plus, you're only 100 miles from Moab. And Bret Edge! And you'll be right near Dominguez Canyons. Your glass is half-full for sure!

Moves are such a pain, but as you noted, there are some things to look forward to. Hope you'll enjoy the Grand Junction metro area.

Yep, it's really like Todd said - a no loose situation.
Believe it or not, the hard part is knowing I have to move yet staying here for a while longer.
At least we have time to hopefully swing a good deal on a home in a "similar" location. Anyone know of a good deal in Glade Park?
Hopefully they won't make me sell in the wintertime up here. :frown:

Good luck with the move, Chuck. Hopefully, it's just as nice even if a little different.
