Orton Challenge
Here is a really different take on Orton, but one of my favorites. Taken not far from Kyle's Landing in the Buffalo National River, Indian Creek is quite a magical place. I think the Orton Technique really enhances the dreaminess of the area. Thanks for any comments.

Minolta XG-A
28mm lens

Orton-ized.

I think this is a great choice for using Orton's technique, Dominic. As you mentioned, this is really quite a unique area. I like how the warm reds in the creek boulders contrast with the cool greens arcoss the water. The arched sapling really adds a nice touch too. I also think your shutter speed choice was good, giving the water a very nice blur, and the water level was just right - I'm still able to see the outline of some of the rocks just below the surface. The only thing that I would like to see is the bright area in the leaves at the top toned down just a bit. Could be my monitor, but it looks a little bright on my screen. Fantastic shot - thanks for the post! :toast:
