Hi all! Well it's been a long time and I see lots of new faces here on PNWNP. I hope to be back at the photography in full swing soon. Thought I'd just pop in and say hello and see if I could drum up some camera gear locally.

I'm in the market for some Canon gear:
5D, Rebel XT for the wife, 100 2.8 USM macro, and a 17-40L. I guess I better start shopping around for some tripods as well.

So, :wavey: Hi to all my old friends, Hi to all my new friends I haven't met yet, and for the moderators...Erik and Rick, go ahead, slap my hands for posting a wanted ad in the wrong forum and delete if you have to.

Mark, nice seein' ya the other day at the show. Great work as always!

Eric,
Welcome back!. Weve Missed you here on the forum. Has for your next camera, haved you considered the D200? I know your a Canon man but it does look like a pretty good camera for the price. You could get two of them for the price of the 5D. Then you could be like Mark, my bro, Sean and Inga myself and be  .
Posted by Eric Hahl on July 18, 2006 at 3:10 PM
Erik, you guys are way too  for me  , I looked at the Nikon, seriously too, but there's just something drawing me toward full frame again. Besides, the old eyes are getting tired and that big, bright viewfinder in the 5D will be great to look through. I guess I'll just have to be un - and get the Canon.

Ned Buddy, you can't keep a great...scratch that, good, ummm, er, mediocre photographer down.

Cool Eric.. Did I tell you I bought a 1Ds2? I did.. but then Apple cancelled it because they mis-represented the price.. Anyway, I think a 5D is in my immediate future since they are so darn inexpensive.. How's the Porshe??????

Yea, and a great camera to boot with a full frame sensor and nice big viewfinder! (well, atleast bigger than my old 10D was.

Can you read German?

"Der Porsche ist wie kein anderes Auto I überhaupt gefahren. Es ist die zutreffende Definition des Sports. Außer der erhielt ich diese gehende perma Grinsensache, seitdem ich sie kaufte".

Translated:

"The Porsche is like no other car I ever driven. It is the true definition of sport. Besides that, I got this perma grin thing going ever since I bought it".

Hey, its old and needs some work but wow its fun. I'll have to bring her down and take ya for a rip. Rowena curves, here we come!

Meinst du das, oder sagst du das, nur so...? Hmmm I believe it..! faster than the 3 series I assume..?
Posted by Eric Hahl on July 19, 2006 at 9:38 PM
Ya know, it's not really all that fast compared to todays cars. Yea, its kinda light and its got a good power to weight ratio but the feel of the car is were it's all at. It feels like your driving a go-kart it's so hooked up to the road and kinda raw...no power steering so you are definitely connected. It sounds pretty cool too

Faster than the 3...yes, a little. Faster than the Z, no.

The real question Erik is, does it photograph well?
Posted by Eric Hahl on July 19, 2006 at 11:53 PM
Absolutely Curtis. Problem is I havent figured out how to insert a photo into a thread thats already started. So, here's a link:

Posted by Curtis Knight on July 20, 2006 at 1:34 AM
hmmm.... nice, but I think we could do a better job as you're driving up rowena...

at the bottom of the page under the emoticons is a text box where you enter a path to an image. when posting ot an existing thread, you can't host it on your own server.
