A White letter variety, these are fairly common in my new patch, fairly easy to shoot.

It's good Tim, but a bit more DOF is needed to get the stem sharper.
Might be my eyes but this looks noisier than any others I've seen you post?

Hi Tim

Looks good to me, Great detail, I like the square crop and the flower is well positioned in the frame.

Only (very minor) comment would be the dark area to the right is a bit distracting. A more even mottled green would improve it but I know it is not always possible to achieve so you sometimes have to take what is given.

Nice image, I like it :toast:

cheers

Nothing wrong with your eyes John, this is a crop (about 1/4 of original) and was taken at ISO 320. I should of given it a dose of neat image.

Hi Tim

Beautiful image - yes a more uniform BG would have improved it but still very nice. As for the noise IMO far too much is made of anything other than the smoothest BG and I feel your image is well within acceptable levels!

I agree with comments......we are talking about degrees of excellence here!
I always thought that this species tended to stay high in the canopy, is there a good time of day to find them at ground level?

Hi Colin,
I see them in the evening around six, but I have very limited experience of them.

Hello Tim
I agree with the earlier comments, but still an excellent image.
