Orton Challenge
Here is my attempt at the art of "Ortonizing". Disharoon Creek Fall, 30 second exposure. Thanks for looking!

Wayne - that's really colorful. Much more so than the original (which I think I've seen posted here). The multiply step of the orton effect saturates the colors much the same way as a curves or levels layer does. Nice looking picture!

It's really amazing what the Orton effect does for photographs - really makes the color pop. I think this was a good choice for its application. Maybe I missed it when you first posted this one, but I really like the trees growing out the rocks along the right side, as well as the small cave (?) just below. And the cascading leaves above and, of course, the waterfall add so much. I can't see anything that I would change. This is really nice Wayne! :toast:

Dreamy and beautifully saturated. Nice work on this one Wayne!

BTW, does anyone else see the profile of the face in the largest waterfall? It's the largest protrusion(sp?) about 1/3 from the top of the photo, just left of center. Looking toward the right.

Thanks for sharing! :toast:

Hmmm - I see it too. Wayne, You'll have to go back and get a closeup!

The face is pretty cool! I can't wait to see the close-up. :jump: Kidding aside, if you ever do happen to go back, I think a close-up of this facial profile would make for a very creative comp. You don't need much imagination to see it. If you ever happen to sell any prints though, make sure you remember Dominic, right Dominic?

That was a great catch Dominic. I wondered if anybody would notice the "old man in the water". MAN that water was cold!!!
