The Three Apostles
This is the Three Apostles taken from across the valley in the Harrison Flat area. I was camped at a small lake up there last weekend. At the end of a gorgeous day (more pics to follow) it looked like the light wasn't going to cooperate. I had my camera set up facing the opposite direction since I thought there might be some nice light that way. I was ready to give up when the Three Apostles lit up like you see here. It was beautiful (except for the lunatic running around with a stupid wooden camera  ). This light lasted about five minutes so I feel lucky I got a shot at all.

Tech stuff:
Tachihara 4x5
Nikon SW 90/8
Velvia 100
Crappy PS skills

Cheers,

Gorgeous, Mark - great light, nice sky and beautiful scenery. I can't tell if it's an optical illusion or not, but it seems like it tilting to the left a little?

That is some amazing light you got. Great shot. Any others with a reflection in the pond?

Mark, that light is terrific and the scene is awesome too. If you have more, post em.

Tilting to the left a little? Man, this image is about to slide right off the page! And the alpenglow seems a little bit too saturated. Aside from that, this is an incredible shot. Harrison Flat has been on my list for quite some time. Your image serves as even more inspiration to make the hike.

The more I look at it, the less over the top the alpenglow looks. You might draw it back a little, so it doesn't glow in the dark, but keep the vibrancy.

I love the light on top of the peaks.
