This is a shot from just after sunrise looking NE from Blue Mountain (right above Deer Park). I'm actually kind of luke-warm on this (there's more glare here than I wanted), but since I just spewed details at Rob, I thought I'd share a picture as well. The mountains above the horizion are Baker and Shuksan. The islands that are nearly lost in the glare are Fidaldo and Whidbey. Bellingham is just the the left of the frame and lost in the haze. The inlet on the right is Squim Bay (the spit doesn't quite go across). The near island is Protection Island.

Thanks for looking,
Sean

I see it. Not a total so-so image but not one I'd print really big either..... FG is too dark and BG is of course very bright..... I'd shoot it again on a better day lighting wise.....

Compositionally the red "X" in the dead center of frame is a no-no....sorry I couldn't help it. The link is broke here.

Can't see it, but your description is quite complete!

Oops. Yeah. I pulled the old save a PSD with the .JPG extension trick. John, I'm surprised you were able to see it.

Anyway, sorry to keep you in suspense.

Sean I like it!! And I think printing it BIG would work just fine!! There's plenty of depth in this image for the eye to browse around the whole image.

I'm all over it Sean!!
