I visited Barre Dam in central Mass today. This is a flood control project that was built and operated by the Army Corp of Engineers. It has a large dam and a large area of land that has unpaved access roads. Usually I have this on my Autumn list but I decided to give it a quick look today. Since this use to be farm land 100 years ago there are many left overs of domestic life like stone walls, some old cellar holes, and left over flowers in different spot that continued to grow after the people and farms dsappeared. This picture was taken just about noontime with a cooperative cloud providng some really good difused light.
