Most amazingly colored sunset I've seen in months tonight, while I was driving up 26 from downtown. Hopefully, with the mass exodus to the coast this weekend, someone in this group grabbed some great shots. If you have one please share, maybe it will help us all tolerate the heat!
Brett,
I was monitoring the sunset closely. From my vantage point in Tigard, it really didn't explode. I was thinking of headinng towards Mt. Hood but I guuess lazyness and a long and hard work week got the best of me.
It was totally OFF DA HOOK in SE Portland. I couldn't break away from a recording session to shoot anything worthwhile, but I'm off to the mountains on Monday.... I hope this sky follows me
It really was awesome up here in Snoqualmie! We were visiting with one of our neighbors so I couldn't slip away but oh man were the colors happening!!

It was one of the best I've seen and captured. People were talking about it today in Corvallis. I made several images.

Yes, Marc's images and the post from Mount Rainier are from the same sunset I believe. It really was magical and powerful.....

Just got back from backpack, and I was very lucky to be on a very high point to view the sunset in 360 degrees. Let me tell you it was AWSOME. I have a lot images to process.
