I've recently been printing on Epson PremierArt Water resistant Canvas. After printing I spray it with PremierArt protectant and then have a local shop stretch it over a wood frame. I hang 'em just like that. I've found it to be much cheaper than the Mat, frame, and glass method and I like the looks of it.

A salesman recently told me that he had heard reports of cracking problems with the Epson PremierArt Canvas due to the fact that it is 65% polyester and 35% cotton. He recommended the use of 100% cotton canvas. Of course, he wanted to sell me some also.

Has anyone experienced cracking problems with the Epson PremierArt Canvas after 6 months or so?

What other canvas brands are you using?

How is the Moab Canvas?

Thanks,
Mike

Epson user here, but you really need to be carefull about which protectant you use to spray it with. I used to use Eterns Cryl Matte and was horrified when a customer phoned me to say the canvas was starting to crack at the edges. It wasn't the canvas that was cracking, but the laminate was and it was making the print look like crazy paving.
I now use no laminate and find the canvases to be flexible enough w/o it,

Cheers,
John
